Lakers 76ers Preview

The Lakers return from their road trip to take on the 76ers. LA is coming off a win in Brooklyn over the Nets and will be looking to kick off their return home with a win over Philadelphia.

Trade deadline

The trade deadline passed earlier today and the Lakers made one trade. LA traded Gabe Vincent and a second round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for sharpshooter Luke Kennard. It was widely reported that the Lakers main goal at the deadline was to preserve the cap space they are projected to get this summer and they managed to do so. However questions will be asked as to whether Rob Pelinka and the Lakers front office should of done more and traded their only tradable first round pick in order to upgrade the roster around Luka, Lebron and Reaves.

The trio is back.

After being out for multiple weeks, Austin Reaves finally returned on Tuesday night against Brooklyn and LA got it’s big 3 of Doncic Reaves and Lebron back. Reaves' return will only help the Lakers offense, especially as he will help take the pressure off of Doncic and Lebron to playmake for others.  Reaves was playing at an all star level before his injury and the Lakers will hope he can get back to this level however they will need to be extremely cautious with him upon his return.
