Lakers Celtics Preview

The NBA’s biggest rivalry returns tonight as the Lakers travel to Boston to take on the Celtics. For both teams this is the second night of a back to back with the Lakers getting a dramatic win in Toronto last night with a Rui Hachimura game winner at the buzzer. The Celtics won in Washington last night over the Wizards.

Shorthanded Lakers.

The Lakers enter Boston tonight with the likelihood of being down numerous key rotation players. Luka Doncic is still out due to personal reasons. Lebron James is doubtful tonight meanwhile Marcus Smart is also out. The Lakers will need another monster performance from Austin Reaves to give themselves a chance to come out of Boston with a win. Reaves was excellent yet again in last night’s win at Toronto, he had 44 points.

The streak is over.

Last night marked the first time in over 15 years that Lebron James scored under 10 points in a game. A truly remarkable achievement. James however still had a vital impact on the game, assisting Rui Hachimura for his buzzer beating 3 to win the game for LA. Lebron has always described himself as a pass first player and the way the streak ended, by setting up a teammate for a wide open three instead of trying to score himself was quite a poetic end.
