The Lakers return from the all star break to take on the LA Clippers. LA will look to build momentum as they enter the second half of the season.
Injury situation
For the first time in what seemed forever the Lakers had a clean injury report heading into tonight’s game. LA did have a status update earlier today however which stated that Lebron James has been downgraded to questionable with Knee soreness. Other than this the Lakers are back to full health. Luka Doncic will return from injury as will Adou Theiro. Austin Reaves should be relatively close to playing without a minutes restriction as well.
Playoff picture.
The post all star break part of the regular season is often described as the sprint of the NBA season so how is LA positioned in the western conference? LA is currently 33-21, 2 games above the play in 1 game out of the third spot In the western conference. The main target for the Lakers has to be to avoid the play in and to try and gain homecourt advantage in the first round. It is unlikely they will break into the top two spots covered by the Oklahoma city Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
