Lakers Hawks preview.

It’s the second night of a back to back for the Lakers as they take on the Atlanta Hawks tonight. LA is currently on a 3 game losing streak and will be looking to quickly get back to winning ways .

Shorthanded

There is a chance the Lakers go into tonight’s matchup heavily shorthanded. Adou Thiero, Austin Reaves and Jaxson Hayes are all out tonight. Lebron James and Luka Doncic are questionable. The scoring would obviously be a huge area of concern if either Luka or Lebron were to be out tonight but arguably a bigger area of concern is in the playmaking department. If either were to miss tonight alongside Austin Reaves, the Lakers would really lack guards who can create looks for others. The Lakers have signed Kobe Bufkin to a 10 day contract earlier today so he might get some minutes tonight.

Inconsistency

LA has really struggled to find consistency as of late. Before this current 3 game losing streak LA was on a 3 game winning streak and looked like they were building some positive momentum even with the absence of Austin Reaves. Now it seems like all momentum has been halted. With the western conference standings so close together it’s important the Lakers get back to winning ways. LA is only half a game in front of the 7th seed Rockets despite currently being the 5th seed.
