Lakers Kings Preview.

The Lakers will look to bounce back from their blowout Christmas day loss to the Houston Rockets with a win over the Sacramento Kings tonight. The Lakers will want to get back to winning ways as they are currently on a 3 game losing streak.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick was clearly unhappy with his teams performance against Houston on Christmas day. This was made clear by his comments postgame. JJ also said to the media that Saturday’s practice was going to be an uncomfortable one. Now it’s time to see a reaction from the Lakers. The effort has not been good enough, especially on the defensive end so it will be something to watch to see if anything has changed defensively.

Austin’s absence.

To make matters worse the Lakers will be without Austin Reaves for an extended period of time. Reaves suffered a calf strain against the Rockets on Christmas day and will be out for at least 4 weeks when he is set to be re-evaluated. The Lakers will need other players to step up to fill the void left by Reaves’ absence as he was having a great start to the season and an integral part of the Lakers offense.
