Lakers Mavericks Preview

The Lakers take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight in NBA cup action. The Lakers are coming off a win over the Clippers in the NBA cup and are currently 3-0 in the cup.

Tonight will be the first time Anthony Davis returns to take on the Lakers in Los Angeles as a player since the blockbuster trade involving him and Luka Doncic back in February. This is also Davis’ first game back from a 14 game absence with an injury so he will likely be on a minutes restriction. The lakers are very familiar with the challenges that Davis presents at both ends of the floor so how they gameplan against him will be interesting to watch.

The lakers are currently on a 5 game winning streak and sat second in the western conference as well as being unbeaten so far in the NBA cup. LA has shown some real encouraging signs of what the season could bring and it’s important that they build on the momentum they have as the season progresses.
