Lakers Pelicans Preview

It’s the first night of a back to back for the Lakers as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans. LA is currently on a 2 game win streak after back to back wins vs the Grizzlies and will be looking to continue this momentum.

Build momentum

With the Lakers getting back to back wins over the Grizzlies this back to back sequence against New Orleans and San Antonio gives LA a big chance to start building momentum after a tough last few weeks. LA has been up and down the last few weeks but the potential of a four game winning streak may just give the group the confidence that it needs.

Standings situation.

Heading into tonight’s game the Lakers are 22-11 on the season, 6 games back of the Thunder in the first seed and 2 games back of San Antonio in the second seed. LA plays the Spurs tomorrow night on the second leg of the back to back. Even though LA is currently sat in the third spot in the Western Conference they are only half a game Infront of the Timberwolves who are currently the Six seed. It’s a close Western conference and LA could do with winning both games on this back to back to create some separation.
